Progress Toward Goals – May

Here is my progress toward my three and a half personal goals for the 2nd quarter of 2013:

  1. Triple Daily Blog Views.  May is an excellent example of how NOT  to do this — my average views per day dropped by 8.  In part because of an egregious 12 day gap in posts and in part because I only managed 10 posts in the entire month. The new look that went live today is a part of the effort to increase views. I want to present a cleaner more professional look. Let me know what you think.
  2. Finish the 4th Draft of BC1 (formerly TH1).  In the second half of May, I got rolling again and I feel good about the work that I’ve done in the last two weeks. You can follow my progress here.
  3. Finish the 1st Draft of BC2 (formerly TH2).  I did about 1,400 words in May. I have now pushed completing it out to August. You can follow my progress on the novel here.
  4. Register for the First Triathlon of the Season.  I have registered for one at the end of July. I still want to do one in late June, but my latest soccer injury is hampering my training.

As I explained here, I am doing quarterly goals.

In fairness to yourself, it’s not like blog views is anything you have absolute control over.

    • Fraser, I appreciate the support and I do agree with you. That said, I also think that there is a correlation between consistent content and views and I did spend May being a little inconsistent.
